A Better Approach to Flush Trimming

When trimming large areas flush to a surface, this jig allows you to use a router instead of a sander or hand plane. The result is faster work, reduced sandpaper use, less wear on your tools, and a flatter, more consistent finish.

Designed for Versatility

Suitable for flush-trimming bow tie/butterfly keys, inlay work, dowel ends, pegged joints, epoxy spillover, solid edge flushing and a wide range of other inlay applications.

Router Compatibility

Compatible with any compact or mid-size router fitted with a baseplate that accepts a standard 30.16mm (1-3/16″) guide bush. A sub-base adaptor may be required.

Adjustable Support and Extended Reach

Four independent adjustable outrigger arms provide support for the router sub-base. The router slot movement allows a maximum routing area of approximately 4-1/2″, while the jig itself can be moved laterally without limit.

Stable, Controlled Operation

The elongated base, outrigger arms, and 2-1/2″ Easy-to-Grip knob provide stability and control during routing.

Precision Features for Consistent Results

A rigid 1/4″-thick anodized aluminium plate straddles the work area, supported by the base and arms. The included plastic shim sets cutting depth 0.01″ above the final surface to minimise sanding.

Flexible Setup for Different Applications

Outrigger arms swing out for larger inlays and in for smaller work such as screw plugs, with detents to hold position. The specially designed bushing and nut allow smooth, play-free movement across the aluminium plate.

Clear Reference and Storage

Laser-etched centre lines help visualise the 4-1/2″ bit travel, while a hang hole allows easy storage on a pegboard.
