Metal Shielded Deep Groove Ball Bearings;

One of the most commonly used bearings, with a metal shield fitted to the outer raceway, provides protection against minor mechanical damage and provides some protection against dirt and moisture ingress. The shield also retains the pre-filled grease within the bearing.

The shield can be removed if only one is required.
